A standing exhibition of paintings, hung as a single continuous field of colour — old masters to the modern hand.

18Works 6Centuries Admission free

Eighteen paintings. Six centuries. One unbroken wall of colour.

The Collection is hung the way a poster is read — one statement at a time, edge to edge, with nothing between the eye and the work. There are no frames competing for attention, no captions crowding the wall; each painting meets a flat field of warm colour at a hard, deliberate seam.

What gathers here is deliberately various: a Venetian morning by Canaletto, London turned to vapour by Monet, a fresco of philosophers, an orchid breathing in the Brazilian dark. Five hundred years of looking, set side by side.

We have grouped the works into three movements — Cities, Water & Light; Land, Ruin & Distance; and Figure, Myth & Devotion — not as a history lesson but as a rhythm. Scroll, and the palette shifts beneath each painting: persimmon, blush, candlelight, sage, and back again.

Begin below with the full index, then walk the rooms in order. Every image is in the public domain; the only thing asked of you is time.
